Review on Stay Protected And Organized: CADeN Waterproof Camera Backpack With Anti-Theft, Laptop Compartment, Tripod Holder, And Rain Cover - Compatible With Sony Canon Nikon Olympus by Steve Douglas

Good backpack with one deal-breaker: it's heavy

This is the second camera backpack I tried after a different brand I received was too thick/stiff that it wouldn't flatten when empty. I didn't want to carry an empty backpack that looked absolutely stuffed. So I got this Caden backpack, and while it's fairly rigid as well, it's smaller overall and doesn't look so ridiculous. What I like: slim design, actual usable pockets all over, very padded and rigid camera insert, looks great. What I don't like: the weight! It's 4.5lbs. It feels heavier than my regular backpack that's filled with essentials like hand sanitizer, power bank, extra masks, cough drops, reusable shopping bags, etc. The camera insert alone is scary heavy. My spouse thought it was reinforced with metal or something. The camera insert I normally use is very protective but much lighter. Also the insert is hard to put back into the section it belongs in if you take it out fully. I can't imagine struggling with that in public. If I were to keep this backpack, I'd replace the camera insert bag with a simple open top padded insert so it could slide in and out easier and be lighter. But Caden has other bags that offer an open top insert, and those bags are cheaper and from the description, lighter weight. So I will return this one for one of Caden's other models. Another thing I didn't like was the flat black color. It shows dirt way too easily. Especially cat hair. There's no color variation like a melange grey to hide any dirt, and the fabric isn't exactly smooth so things get stuck to it quickly. Reviews show a medium grey. Available options currently are black and very light grey.

Pros
  • Makes it easy to snap photos on the go with quick-access pockets
Cons
  • The backpack may not be suitable for individuals who prioritize lightweight options
