Review on 🧦 Optimized Nylon Gaiter by Liberty Mountain by Antoine Cash

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for motorcycling in cool or wet weather.

When autumn hit me, I was caught in the rain one day riding my motorcycle to work. (The pesky meteorologists can never be trusted. They promised it wouldn't rain until tomorrow morning and of course I paid the price ;-))) With wet pants flapping in the wind I encountered while driving wasn't very happy. While I was researching possible solutions, a few fellow riders declined the offer to look for insoles, and before long I placed an order for a pair of these Liberty Mountain nylon insoles. The next time I had a chance to use these gaiters it was a day with relatively cool morning temperatures when those pesky weather forecasts informed me and everyone in my area that it would be warmer during the day. In this particular case they were right, it was warm during the day but cool enough so I decided to use leg warmers to keep the bottoms of my legs snug around my ankles and eliminate the gap between my heavy running shoes. and the legs of my pants. With the gaiters on, the usual entry point for cool air around my ankles has been almost entirely eliminated. Definitely a world of difference and they are worth every penny I spent on them. I rate them 4 stars. I would probably even go for 4.5 stars if possible. Not quite perfect, but pretty cute. Why not perfect? I'm not exactly a fan of the lacing system they use/have used to secure the gaiters under the sole of the shoe. I ended up getting rid of the laces, which were too frustrating to tie and got tight enough to be useful, and instead switched to short bungee straps that do the same job. They can easily be swapped out if they get too worn out while riding (mostly from stopping) like the laces would, but they're also a lot easier to tie for me.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
