Good gaiters are best for outdoor activities

Good gaiters keep moisture out of pants and socks. They're easy to roll up and store away when not in use, and easily attaches to boots. Personally I don't find straps under the boot useful and bulky so I removed them and didn't notice any performance issues. This is good value for money if you're looking for waterproofing or want to keep your shins warm. Don't forget to waterproof your boots! These gaiters are not designed to keep the front of your foot dry, but to keep water off the tongue of

offer excellent coverage and are highly water resistant

Leggings are lightweight, offer excellent coverage and are highly water resistant. The top opening is very large to accommodate fat legs and heavy clothing, but the top drawstring was difficult to pull up due to the compressive strength of the material. It may come off after wearing them. Another thing to look out for is the strap that runs under the arch of the foot. This is fine for running in snow, but rocky or muddy ground will cut the cable in minutes. I suggest replacing the current cable

Resists biting insects.

No more bug bites - leggings at a great price. Spray a repellent to prevent woodlice from crawling up your leg. On the other hand, working in my garden also slows me down. Why? Getting dressed is a hassle, but no more sleepless, itchy nights. They should zip up and tie at the top, the tongues at the bottom should be secured with something under the boot to hold them in place (not included so will have to find out). Cheap and fairly quick solution. I used the shortest bungee I had. Approximately

Gaiter Review - Moisture Resistant

Last year I bought leggings as a Christmas present so my daughter and I could enjoy snowshoeing without freezing or getting wet legs and feet. Unfortunately, last winter Mother Nature conspired to not get much snow here in southern Nevada and limited our time in the snow. This year; however, that is a whole different story. A friend and I visited Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks National Monument over the Veterans Day weekend. We got caught in a big snow storm and after the weather cleared we went

Perfect fit for shoes and accessories

After hunting moose in the snow in October I decided I needed taller boots or gaiters to keep the snow off my boots. A hunter friend of mine had a pair of cheap leggings that he bought on sale at Walmart. They helped, but they had no strap or hook to hold them in place, so they kept slipping off his leg. I immediately returned home and ordered Liberty Mountain socks. I tried them on upon arrival and they looked well built. I took them on my moose hunt in November where we had up to 8 inches of…

Quite good after two tweaks: Lower straps.

Material and workmanship are good, but the design still needs work. If you are not a gymnast and have never dealt with cold and ice, you will need to replace the lower harness system. In this case, the attachment can be changed every day with the supplied straps/wide drawstrings: no matter what happens, nothing happens. Just add a small pair of all-occasion carabiners and grab these little scissors. Just like now, you have to adjust every leg/boot combination every time you wear it. That means…

Good for motorcycling in cool or wet weather.

When autumn hit me, I was caught in the rain one day riding my motorcycle to work. (The pesky meteorologists can never be trusted. They promised it wouldn't rain until tomorrow morning and of course I paid the price ;-))) With wet pants flapping in the wind I encountered while driving wasn't very happy. While I was researching possible solutions, a few fellow riders declined the offer to look for insoles, and before long I placed an order for a pair of these Liberty Mountain nylon insoles. The…

Big gaiter. - Camping

This is a very well made product. I don't have much experience with spats, but I expect them to work that way. First the materials. The nylon used is of very good quality, it seems quite durable. The elastic at the bottom and in the middle of the lower leg is very durable. When you put them on they fit snugly around the boot and snugly around the shin so that the center is snug against the leg but not so that you can feel it through the pant leg. I wear size 9 boots, but they should fit larger…
