Failed to load media. I am very happy that I bought this engine. I was looking for a motor for my 1970's model FPN 146TN Frigidaire fridge. I took the risk of buying this motor because I wasn't sure if it would replace my outdated motor. The photos I've attached show my old motor and the building steps for the new motor. The small bag was packed with plenty of gear that would suffice for most spare gear. I had to remove the mounting plate from the old engine and attach it to the body of the new engine. For my particular build, I found the instructions very vague. I had to make a few assumptions about how to assemble the parts, but figured it out quickly. I disassembled the motor and applied a very thin coat of automotive wheel bearing grease to the shaft where the bearings were supposed to turn. Install the fan on the plastic sleeve. The original fan mounting screws from the old engine were too small in diameter. I had 2 short self-tapping screws on hand to attach the fan to the hub. All molded mounting tabs have been broken off cleanly so that the motor can be reinstalled in the plastic housing. Length. Attempting to break the shaft to a predetermined length proved a difficult task. I was afraid that I would bend the shaft. Instead, I clamped the excess part of the stock in a vise and cut it off with a fine-toothed hacksaw. Before installing it in the freezer, I tested the motor on the stand. Worked smoothly and quietly. Should the need arise to purchase another engine, I will purchase this engine again.
