Brake lever not compatible with Yamaha TTR250?

I can never figure out how to mount the brake lever. It doesn't seem to be compatible. The clutch lever was installed without any problems. My front brake is completely original. Is there a guide or tutorial? I have updated my rating to 5 stars. This item is of very good quality. It just doesn't fit the front brake or the Yamaha TTR 250. The seller was very responsive and gave me a generous refund after I reported my issue.
