Review on Kapro 307-08-TMS Try And Mitre Layout And Marking Square With Stainless Steel Blade, 8-Inch Length by Jermaine Rhodes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very nice! - my new review

I have several levels and scribing devices as well as many rulers and straightedges. This fills a very nice niche as it has a unique design with the inner ledge that sits on the thing you are trying to mark or measure and makes it very easy to use and hold in place.I was worried about the plastic part, and whether it would be a FIRM, SOLID connection, because if there is ANY flex, then the numbers go whack very fast. SO FAR it is solid and firm and it not only has the obvious 90 degree square, but also measures 10, 15, 22.5 and a host of other useful measuring marks for angles. I find this VERY useful compared to some of my other squares. It is inexpensive, easy to use and well made. My only concern is whether it will hold up to extended use and hold firm where the plastic meets the stainless steel part of the square. If it does hold firm, then the Kapro 309-12 Legent Try & Mitre Square is very nice.

Pros
  • So much easier to see & read than my same size bare steel square. I think I’ll double down on it!
Cons
  • The markings can wear off over time, making the square less effective
