I bought this for my 3 months old puppy because he absolutely LOVES food and devours it within seconds. I didn't want him to develop any digestion problems or bloating, so I tried this out to stop him from eating so quickly. I don't know if my dog just isn't that smart, if his snout shape/size isn't compatible with the bowl, or whatever other reason, but this bowl just doesn't work as expected. I though my puppy could just stick his tongue in the bowl and that the design would make it harder for him to eat more, hence causing him to slow down, but he can't get food out of the bowl at all. The only way he can get food out of the bowl is by picking it up with his mouth and then dropping it, because then food comes out of the bowl upon impact with the ground. The only reason this bowl slows my pup down is because he has to go through the picking-up-and-dropping process every 10 seconds to get food scattered on the ground, but the bowl definitely doesn't work as I thought it would (at least for my dog). I was really disappointed that it didn't work and my pup is definitely frustrated with the bowl as well.
