Review on Enhance your Aquarium with the Finnex Planted+ 24/7 ALC LED Light - Automatic Sunrise and Sunset, 660nm Deep Red LEDs by Heather Stokes

What I like about this unit: - fantastic color depth, it really brings colors to life - lots of power available - 24/7 customizable What I don't like I like this light:- Indicator light -Indicator light-indicator light WHY FINNEX?! WHY?! - At full power, the light is too cold and the red drops - The 24/7 mode isn't as smooth as it could be. I have to say when it comes to color vibrancy, Finnex knocked it out of the park. Blue, red and green LEDs ensure an intensive coloring of the aquarium. However, this light lacks a good visual red, as the deep red is quickly overwhelmed by blue and green. If you like a softer color for your aquarium AND bright lighting, this light fails to deliver, you can get bright and cool but not bright and warm. I like the customizable 24/7 mode, but the mixing could be smoother. In the morning I turn on a level of white and a level of red, but when the light is on it's harsh, it could blend better and turn on softer. What I HATE about that light and the word HATE is the indicator light. This light is the brightest in my house at night, I don't need a night light. My whole living room is lit up every night because Finnex put bright lights on TOP of the lights that DO NOT go out, it's too much. If the aquarium was in my bedroom, this light would return the next day. Putting tape or anything else on the headlights somewhat defeats the purpose of buying nicer lighting. The headlights should either go out after a while, or there should be a button to turn them off manually. Therefore, I can only give 3/5 stars, if it weren't for the display, I would only give 4.5/5 because of the lack of smoothness in 24/7 mode.
