So I'm always hesitant to buy cheap lenses and I really don't need an 85, it was more of a wish so I decided to take a chance and buy it try one. Outside. I tried to take about 200 random photos of my kids with my Canon EOS Mark 5D iii. The first thing I noticed was the volume. It feels like something is creaking very loudly in the lens. It's not a pleasant sound. I took several photos during the day and in the evening. He struggled with AF in photos with my baby in a blue shirt. I took about 15 photos at a time, which at least somehow came out. I think the images are crisp for the price but I'll probably return it and get a Canon model. There is also a shadow on the outside of the photos, any sun gives you a very bad flare. The lens hood pictured and labeled did not come with the lens which infuriated me. All in all you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a decent lens to take family photos this is a great lens but I don't think I would ever give one to a customer based on the quality. I give it 4 stars because the bokeh in this lens is very similar to the canon model unlike some fakes and for the price I was impressed.
