Bought to take my climbing gear to Red Rocks, Nevada when we fly to Las Vegas in September. It is designed like a large tote bag with durable materials and straps. ; it pretty much stands alone for a top load. A host of other great features are added including a bottom shoe and chalk bag compartment, seat belt lid, two chains and several other pockets and organizers for everything from guidebooks to laptops/tablets. I placed the 70m climbing rope in the Metolius rope pocket in the main compartment along with the anchor rope and runners. Everything seems protected and organized and everything seems well done. I am impressed!
