This is amazing. I originally bought one from Home Depot and the switch was $4 more. We wanted to make sure it works and runs quietly before we buy it for all of our fans. This requires extra space in the switch box as the motor sticks out at the back so you'll have to 'creatively' thread the wires, but we've placed this and the rocker switch with covers on all terminals with some creative threading. If you need a fan dimmer, I highly recommend it. They're quiet (some motors hum a little from the switch itself, not just the fan). If you are looking for a quiet, wonderful product, then this is it.
