So I probably should have done a little more research before buying this card. I upgraded from an Asus GTX 960 Strix 2GB which has been a great card for the last 5 years. This GTX 1660 Super OC definitely has more horsepower, but it's very hot. Like, too hot. It runs constantly at 87 degrees Celsius, and its threshold is 83 degrees, after which it reduces the clock speed to avoid burning out the card. So it all adds up to a card you can't squeeze hard without overheating. Its my fault. The single fan version of the Pheonix just doesn't cool properly. I would like to put in a dual fan version but my case is too small so I ordered a Pheonix. That being said, this card was still a huge upgrade. All my games run smoother. GTA 5 with high graphics at 1080p is about 75 fps. Tried gta 5 at 1440p with ultra graphics, ran at around 45 fps until the card warmed up to 88 degrees then dropped to around 20 fps. I think if the cooling system was better and the performance was more stable, I would be much happier with this card. It works, but not as well as I thought it would.
