Review on 🌀 Noctua NF-R8 redux-1800: High Performance 80mm Cooling Fan | 3-Pin, 1800 RPM (Grey) by Walter Day

I'm rarely surprised by the quality of PC components like case fans, but these 80mm Noctua jobbers are outstanding. The build quality is through the roof and by far the best I've seen in my dirty hands. They feel good in the hand, are noticeably heavier and literally radiate quality at every opportunity. The plastic feels denser and stiffer, the fan blades are better finished and shaped, the tolerances are tighter, and damn it, they even (not cheap either, but with good braiding) protected the 3-wire pigtail all the way to the case. to the socket. Never before have I seen such attention to detail and such commitment to quality construction. Simply a great device that is definitely worth its price. I'd happily pay double the price to get more of these and that's coming from someone who just bought three of these (replacing both exhaust fans and stashing the third as a spare). That's really a high level. 80mm case fans and, to my ears at least, the 1800 version are absolute perfection. Much quieter than the 1500rpm plain bearing junk I've used. If they don't live up to the advertised 6 year warranty I will most likely never buy another brand again. The first impression definitely lives up to the hype and of course the price too. Get them while you can, they're worth it.
