Review on 🏡 Emporia Smart Home Energy Monitor w/ 16 50A Circuit Level Sensors, Real-Time Electricity Meter/Solar Net Metering by Lorenzo Wood

I've looked at various wattage monitors and this seems to be the best. I bought it 11 days ago and they are already implementing an extension that not only controls the main load but also allows you to control individual circuit breakers. So great. I bought this so I can load the monitor of our new emergency power generator (generator 16 kW). We made a switch for the whole house and in a short time the electrician allowed me to start it (1 hour). I couldn't think of a combination of devices to turn off the intelligent control system to reset the dryer, stove and air conditioner. I was very dissatisfied with the minimal information that the generator has in its application. Basically, you can see if the starting battery voltage is low or normal, and you can see if the generator is running or idling. So I ordered this and a few days after I received it we had a storm that cut the power for 3 1/2 hours. So, with a little more time to play, I was able to get the load high enough to disable load control. In a few seconds it went from 17 kW to 4 kW and I could see it directly in the application (see picture). Being able to email customer support multiple times to ask questions and they respond quickly and are very helpful. I'm waiting to order an extension so I can see some of my big loads and see what role they play on my electric bill. It will be great when powered by a generator as well as when powered by the mains. I am very happy.
