Review on Thermos Foogo 11 Ounce Bottle Purple by Melanie Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great mug design - ounces are displayed

UPDATE: I have to deduct a star. This item *licks* when turned over and Munchkin dumped all 6 ounces I had in it on himself when he was on his way home to run an errand and I lived only 5 minutes away. I'm not sure if the pros outweigh the cons. I still love seeing the ounce shown and will keep it anyway, but will keep it until she's a bit older to give to her again. ORIGINAL review: Thermos/mug are great. I love how easy it is to hold with little hands and the bottle also shows the number of ounces. I think in all the research I've done on straw/hard plastic travel bottles, this was the only bottle that was clear and listed the cup volume. I have a few problems: - The mouthpiece of the straw is not hard but soft silicone and my baby who is teething bites it. - The mouthpiece is slightly leaking. Some drops of water will end up on the plastic around the mouthpiece when inverted or thrown. I was expecting that, but thought it was worth mentioning. It definitely won't leak if it was in a backpack or diaper bag, even if the bag was tipped over. The liquid pours out quickly, it's like a tiny version of an adult water bottle with a straw. It would be nice if there was a way to resist a little, but I know this is probably hard to come by in a toddler straw water bottle. I thought it was worth mentioning though as I would appreciate it if I knew in advance. For me the pros and cons outweigh the cons and I think this is a great bottle. Definitely lasts a long time - as long as the Munchkin doesn't suck too hard on the mouthpiece.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Sad hardware
