Those are clunky, ugly shoes. But it has good support and comfort. They look dated, are a bit heavy and a bit stiff. But I needed good ankle support and they provided it for me. These are good shoes for everyday walking; Leather upper and rubber sole. Well done. I use New Balance 990v5 running shoes and 806 NB tennis shoes for everyday walking and they are both very good. These 928s have even more support. They are good for nothing but walking. I use my own orthotics in them, although these shoes have a comfortable insole. The only thing I didn't like was that the skin had an unpleasant odor. I hope this goes away. I aired them out for a few days before putting them on and there was an improvement but the smell is still there. Good sock, wide enough. I received my regular 11.5 wide 2E shoes and they fit as expected. It looks like the outsole will last longer than the 990. I've run three 990s and the soles are still wearing out quickly and one of them has a hole in the mesh. This 928 is way overpriced for what you get and for the old design; $145. The black ones don't have a mesh upper, but it would be nice to reduce the weight a bit and let air through. They used to have white 928s with mesh uppers, but I don't think they're available anymore. The black leather model can be worn as a semi-formal shoe. You need to update his appearance. With a more modern look it could have been five stars. For most people who don't have foot problems, the 990v5 is a great shoe that looks good and comes in multiple colors. But it's $185; part mesh, part synthetic. As for me, I wear both. New Balance is a great brand.
