Like the tools, they are comfortable to hold and move well on the tool rest. Of course they are very sharp and will quickly deal with anything you shoot. Since I've usually made most of my pencils with a notch, I've never felt comfortable with skew. Nevertheless, the square instrument interested me little. So I immediately ordered a Ci2-R2 cutter and immediately exchanged the square cutter. The following are my impressions based on my not-so-professional opinion and limited to making pens. It didn't take long to find the best spot for one of the tools, and they produce more shavings than sawdust. In my opinion the radius of a diamond shaped cutter is too big to make handles. If it was a diamond tipped end mill I would see it would be a little more useful for such a small job. Most likely I will order a replacement diamond cutter. The round tool is probably the most forgiving of the three and is ideal for concave shapes. This requires a slightly firmer hand than a square radius router to get an evenly smooth surface. While I find uses for all three, I can easily make anything with a square radius cutter as it relates to what I'm doing and how I work. They are all very good tools and as mentioned the metal straps have been loosened but unlikely. A problem for most as it took a whopping 60 seconds to apply the glue. The tool case is a nice bonus and I'm not at all disappointed that I bought it.
