These are great cube shelves, but it's important to realize that pressure is more important than hold time when assembling. Be sure to apply enough pressure to hold the cube together. The first time I tried it, I didn't use enough force and the cube fell apart easily. After trying again I actually sat on the assembled cube to create the necessary pressure and now the cube is as strong as a rock. I accidentally dropped it from a few meters and it didn't break. Wood can be scratched, but so can all other wooden furniture. Great product for the price. Allows me easier organization.
