Almost all iron test kits on the market are currently rated 4 stars or lower for various reasons. I chose this one because it was recommended by several aquarium websites and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, they no longer provide the measuring spoon in the kit that is necessary to get accurate readings when testing chelated iron. It seems like a good choice for non-chelation testing (if you're using Seachem Iron this kit is fine), but otherwise don't worry. Research is definitely recommended for iron testing, there really isn't an easy way to do this that I've found. I would prefer this kit to Seachem as it has accuracy issues but unfortunately is far from perfect.
