If you're like me, you need to change your umbrella regularly. I don't know if I'm being too hard on them or if they're short-lived. My last one, which I used the most, no longer stays closed. So it's time for a new one. I also prefer different sizes for different needs. I keep the full size in my car but when traveling or on a rainy day I prefer the more compact one that you can put in your bag. This one is compact, but not one of those tiny ones. Fits in my pocket but not in my purse. It's okay because I'm not sure I want that in my purse. It opens at the touch of a button. The same button (one touch) closes it, but the shaft still has to be lowered. The ribs seem strong. Camouflage dinosaur print is fun. I would prefer more girly options but that's ok. The quality seems to be very good. Only time (and usage) will tell!
