Received my order early and was concerned because YouTube videos make it so easy. "Trigger wires” and the ability to have more than one camera may be in my future, but for now just a backup camera for my closed trailer, later for my RV. Bring the battery home for testing, plug in the camera and monitor, done. They were only a foot apart, but hey, start small, right? With no trigger wires and a few test leads with clamps, I plugged in the power supply and voila. Image, camera 4, backed with lines to be adjusted later. When the rain stops I'll pull out my ladder! As announced, the sound and picture seem to be excellent, at least in my living room. Next installation in my trailer! Spring. I thought the installation failed, but moving the receiver close didn't help, but a week later I had a chance to try again, this time in an open area in the city. I just plugged in the monitor, placed it on the console and plugged in the trailer. I think the setup, after going through the various issues I was having, was to just turn on AutoScan, Cam 4, which gave me redundant lines. It wasn't until I stopped at the exit of my trailer camp that I got the picture and sound like it never worked. I connected to the trailer lights so working with the lights powered the camera. I'm very glad it wasn't a big problem, but I think I was too close to my garage and the metal trailer (not an RV) and garage door were too much of a problem. I planted some tenons on the door and adjusted the lines (slightly). DONE! No static. not blurry, not flickering. I turned off the light and it went out, turned on the light and came back. The next day: again not working. oh oh I reconnected the marker light using the smaller gauge "clip" and had no subsequent connection problems. I've used it a few times and have yet to hook up a trailer to my RV, a 36ft king which has increased the unit's range by a few feet. But every time I drew with my Yukon, the camera was at 100% and was fine in closed or tight spaces. I'm thinking of adding additional cameras for side clearance and security.
