Review on Spool of Threadart Polyester Machine Embroidery Thread - No. 102 Black - 1000M - 40wt - Over 220 Vibrant Colors Available by Kelly Caballes

I had 2 big problems with this thread. First, the thread is not a long continuous strand. On just one project I found two places where the thread was literally knotted on the spool. I tried to wind a spool with it and saw the first knot because the thread coming off the spool kept hitting the knot protruding from the spool, causing the spool to wind up chaotically. The second knot broke my needle while sewing as the knot was too big to go through the needle. The second problem was that the base of the coil is not smooth but has a roughness. As the thread unwound as you sewed, it kept getting caught in the bobbin base, causing the thread to keep snagging or breaking. It was a real struggle to complete the project I needed to complete and it was the only thread I had on hand. I recommend buying literally any brand other than this one. Too bad because the thread itself is a nice weight, great color and shine and that's the only reason for the 2 stars. The way it is wound onto the bobbin makes it unsuitable for machine sewing.
