Review on NGK Y 701RS Diesel Glow Plug by Brandon Peters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits ASV RC-30 / Polaris ASL-300 / Terex PT-30 Compact Track Loader or Caterpillar 3013 / Perkins 403C-15 Diesel Engine

is about the same price. This is an exact replacement for the Beru glow plugs that I replaced. Normally I would order through Revain but I needed to identify them first before deciding to buy them through Revain. Beru makes OEM glow plugs for the Caterpillar engine (rebranded Perkins engine) that powers my 2001 Polaris ASL-300 tracked loader. Beru doesn't sell its products in the States unless it comes in a Perkins Engines parts box, which costs $37 to $70 for a glow plug plus shipping, depending on who you call. These NGK glow plugs are the perfect replacement at a fraction of the cost. I believe the RC-30 Track Loader had the same engine until Terex bought the brand sometime in 2010. The newer engine is the 403D-15 and I'm not sure if it will fit. Here are the appropriate part numbers for Perkins #185 366 190 (sold by Perkins parts dealers for $$$$) Beru #0 100 226 382 or replaced with #0 100 226 481 (NOT available in the US through regular parts channels) Beru No. GN 023 (as above) Bosch No. 0 250 202 089 (as above) NGK No. Y-701U replaced by Y-701RS, serial number 276584 mm, overall length 22 mm, thread pitch M10-1.25, landing angle 120 degrees , nominal value 11 V, hexagon 12 mm. M4 connector thread comes with nut FYI, Federal Mogul (USA) owns Beru (Germany), but does not import or pack Beru products in Sealed Power or FP Diesel branded boxes. I called Federal Mogul Customer Service to verify this. FYI, at the time of writing this review, my small tracked loader clocked in at 975 hours. I think I've used it for the last 50 hours of use, but it's only in cold weather that it's really noticeable that my engine is very difficult to start. Just in case anyone wants to know how long my originals lasted. Thank you for carrying these Revains!
