This complete stair leveling kit (with leveler part) is a superb product with all the necessary mounting hardware and easily gets 5 stars. In my opinion. Excellent design, excellent product quality, excellent safety and functionality. Yes, they add a few pounds to the weight of the ladder, but when you feel stable and comfortable at 30 feet tall without having to rely on fancy support, it's pretty clear the designers made the right choice to have. I loved this set so much that I simply ordered the "Basic Set" (everything but the leveling part itself) to outfit a second ladder. The ability to move part of the dock leveler from one ladder to another is a welcome saving, although if I were a contractor using multiple ladders at once I would happily purchase a second complete set. I want to emphasize that this kit came with ALL the mounting hardware (screws, spacers, washers, nylon nuts) I needed to install the bases. The reviewer who deducted 2 stars for not having HW must have received an "open box" with the (high quality) HW removed. I REALLY agree with one reviewer who complained that these products should come with an illustrated parts list so the buyer can KNOW if everything is included when he/she opens the box. The instructions do NOT indicate how much of each piece of hardware should be included.
