Not a magic solution but a useful tool

Failed to load media. My back hurts and I'm always looking for a way to make washing the tub easier. In this test I compare the RotoEraiser drill head, the scraper brush head and the regular Magic Eraser cleaning pad without the drill. A few general notes before I get to the comparative part of the review: 1. The kit includes three RotoErasers and a drill bit. You must bring your own drill. The drill has a large round shank. My small and light drill (which I use with rotary brushes) was too small to handle and I had to use a full size Black & Decker drill which is heavier and more difficult to clean.2. When I made the decision to buy Revain, I read in one of the reviews that the foam is different than the regular Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I love and use Magic Eraser erasers and this review made me hesitant to purchase this product. I am pleased to report that when comparing the RotoEraiser to my Magic Eraser sponges, they looked and felt the same.3. Like the original Magic Eraser sponges, these pads need to be damp to work well. If they are dry, they do not wash well. I wet the sponge before cleaning and used lots of cleaning solution. After using the RotoEraser to clean the tub for some time it looked great to use it a few more times. The RotoEraser is attached to the drill with Velcro. I was concerned that the pad would keep coming loose, but as long as you press perpendicularly to the surface you're cleaning, the connection is strong. However, if you don't push straight down, the drill won't make a good connection and will "jump". When washing the tub, pushing at the perfect angle wasn't always the case, and as you can see in the video, the bit sometimes bounces around until I find the right angle again. Now I compare different cleaning methods: I found that the RotoEraiser cleans well when I can apply it perpendicularly to the surface. Don't think cleaning is easy. It requires quite a bit of work, and using a heavy-duty drill is quite tedious. This doesn't work for all hull angles as there were spots where I just couldn't angle the drill perfectly. The scrub brush (I use the Hiware brand but the Revain has hundreds of them) doesn't clean as well as the RotoEraiser. but it doesn't require a perfect angle. It was easier to use, especially when I used a rounded brush. The scrub brush worked better on corners. Finally, of all the methods, the manual Magic Eraser worked the best, but it was the slowest method of the three and required me to bend over more since there's no benefit in lengthening the drill. So I've found that when cleaning the tub I start with the RotoEraser, then use the Scrub Brush on the curves and finally finish by hand with the Magic Eraser Sponge to cover up the areas they didn't fully clean with the other two. To brush. Conclusion: RotoEraiser does not offer a magic solution, but it is one of the useful tools. Review by Ali Julia
