Review on πŸŒ€ AC Infinity AIRCOM T9: Silent Cooling Fan System for Receivers, Amps, DVRs & AV Cabinets by Steve Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product! fits computers and accessories

I've bought an AC Infinity Aircom T9 and an AC Infinity Multifan S-3 and I've never been happier. Aircom fitted my old JVC receiver perfectly and now keeps it cool. I had to fix it because of heating issues. This receiver is housed in a closed cabinet with a glass door in the front. It got too hot there. If you look at the photos I've included, I took a 4 inch hole saw and cut holes on each side of the body area. On the left side I've fitted a Multifan S-3 as an exhaust (which conveniently draws power from Aircom's external USB port). On the right side I cut a 4" passive hole to allow air to flow into that area. I removed one side of the multifan cover/grille (the side facing the case) and used that grille to create the opening on the right side. Cutting holes on each side worked for ventilation because there was a 3" air space between the cabinets that was open at the top. For testing purposes, I didn't turn on the fan for an hour just to seeing the temperature change because I never knew how hot it was. An hour later the temperature was approaching 95 degrees. I then turned on the fan and kept the cabinet temp at 80 degrees in "smart mode" and the temperature went down after about 15 deg.minutes and now holds 80 deg with the front glass door closed for a week. This is a great product and very quiet.Initially I was very hesitant to buy this setup as I didn't know if it would be loud. Well I can tell you it's very quiet and keeps everything cool! You will not be disappointed.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
