These wire connectors work very well. This IT-44 uses 14 gauge wire and can handle up to 24 amps. You clip it onto an existing wire, add a new wire and just clamp the cap with pliers. It works similar to the ScotchLok connector, but it's a better design in my opinion. The translucent orange plastic lets you see the wiring, and each size is colored differently. So if you have a choice of connectors, you can choose the one you need based on the size of the cable. The part number is stamped on the top of the connector, but you need to know that the IT-44 is for 14 gauge and the IT-55 is for 10 or 12 gauge. The wires are tight and the connection is very good and I was able to get it working on the first try without wasting anything. Good quality product and ideal for people who want to add wires to an existing circuit without cutting wires. Just clamp and you're done.
