Haven't had a chance to test this jacket in cold weather but it looks great and fits my dog . The velcro feels strong and strong but can tangle with the coat if your dog falls off. Other than that, this is a good quality coat. My 20 lb Pugl's measurements didn't really fit into any of the size ranges, but the small size fits perfectly. Anything beyond that may require a medium depending on the breed. There is a slot through which you can attach the leash to the harness. The gap was in the perfect spot for my dog's harness.
