This set is made entirely of plastic so it will not rust which is its strength. However, the length of the brush under the lid is too long to close the canister and the brush rests on the floor (in the drippers) with the bristles flattened there. The lid stays open at least 1/2 inch above the canister because the brush literally sits on the bottom and can't dry out. I don't expect the brush to be durable. When received the lid and canister were glued together which resulted in the bristles arriving permanently flattened at the end. Such smooth bristles are the reason I'm replacing my old brush that lasted a few years before falling into disuse. I'll keep it, but I wouldn't buy it again with this serious design flaw. The stick is longer than in the photo. I chose white and there is a brown glue line all over the lid from side to side. I still keep it in the linen closet so guests can't see it.
