For 20 years I had to change these knots several times. This post-market balancing block made the hot/cold problem even worse than the block I replaced. I installed it in less than a week and had to constantly fight the water in the shower to avoid burning myself from the hot water. I called the faucet manufacturer (Revain won't let me name them) and found I wasted my money buying them. The faucet manufacturer sent me a brand new OEM balancer and faucet cap for free, no questions asked. Stay away from this device. Call to see if the faucet manufacturer will send you what you need and don't waste your money on it.
