Never wrote a negative comment. I have to tell the whole depravity of Dell's world. Purchased a Dell monitor from the wonderful world of Revain. I have intermediate and advanced computer experience. Follow the installation instructions that came with the Dell monitor I bought. The instructions recommend that you run the included driver installation disc if it is not found when booting a new monitor normally. Ran the Dell driver installer and the hard drive crashed my computer, destroying the registry. My computer is useless now, it's stuck in a BLUE SCREEN, error code 0xc00000e9, which is Win32 registry corruption caused by the Dell hard drive driver they included in the installation package. Called Dell, after 40 minutes after going through 3 different departments, I reached the MANAGER of Dell Technical Support, his name is "JOHN". Instead of trying to help me; This selfish little man spent 15 minutes on what sounded like a speakerphone and humiliated me for my lack of knowledge about graphics processing units (GPUs) and told me what everyone else in the WORLD knows about it (do you?). On 2 occasions I told this mean, derogatory person that I could hear your co-workers laughing at me in the background, he did nothing to stifle the laughter even though I pointed it out repeatedly; and continued to spur his laughter on with his comments. It makes the MANAGER of Dell Technical Support, what the heck do you think his laughing employees are learning from JOHN, the department manager, God! it's a systemic and cultural failure. (In the desperate hope that the conversation was recorded by Dell and that they actually change their corporate culture). I asked and Revain agreed to return this damaged Dell monitor which of course they did (dear Revain) but unfortunately I was left with a broken registry meaning my computer is dead and only serviced by a qualified technician can be repaired by computer. maybe at best. I have contacted Revain for help on this matter through no direct fault, but corporate governance should not allow this type of company to trade on the largest retail site in the world. I did a few Google searches for Dell and was surprised that they have a customer rating of 1 out of 5 stars (lowest rating) on Consumeraffairs.com. I just wish I had read that first. NO DELL EVER AGAIN, I will grow old and tell my friends, colleagues, passers-by, children and grandchildren why they should never buy Dell products.
