This product seems easy to install and I hope it stays in place as the door's natural forces against the insulation should allow it to stay in place better To remain in place as a bolted lateral insulation pad that must withstand lateral forces. Also, silicone rubber should last longer than the more common vinyl gaskets. The instructions on the packaging and the picture are very confusing in my opinion. In fact, the picture led me to believe that the installation was exactly the opposite of what the instructions said. I have included my own photo showing the side of the door hinges and the top trim of the door opening. The manufacturer should provide a clearer picture on the packaging. A NOTICE. The manufacturer recommends mounting the thin side of the seal "facing away" from the door stop (as shown in the attached image). I've found that the hinge side seal works better with the thinner side of the seal facing the doorstop. So if the door is sticking (i.e. the thicker side of the gasket touching the door when closing) as per the manufacturer's recommendation, turn the gasket over as this may make it easier to close the door.
