I had a Garmin Vivoactive 3 which I thought was utterly useless. I wrote an extensive review of this GPS watch, but suffice it to say that it was inaccurate and even if it were, it would be impossible to use while running. This watch is in perfect condition. Everything is controlled via buttons (I believe there is a tap screen technology but I don't use it). Why is this watch 100x better than Garmin -1) GPS connects quickly - Garmin sometimes takes 15 minutes 2) GPS is accurate - Garmin fluctuates - sometimes accuracy sometimes wildly different One button distance. Garmin has hidden this function in the menu and then you have to use the touchscreen. Obviously the designer is never executed as it is not possible to share it while working with the touchscreen. 4) All controls can be accessed by buttons, accessing all menu items is very easy. Garmin uses a touch screen, easy to touch wrong, difficult to correct, the Timex interface is 100 times better than the Garmin interface. divisions, the watch will continue to automatically divide miles from the point of the last manual division. So if you want to slowly warm up and then start, just grab your first division and let the watch count the remaining miles, kilometers, or whatever custom distance you set. 7) All results are easy to see on the watch. 8) Timex also offers an app, but that's completely unnecessary. It's easy to set up and use without creating an account or connecting the app. I understand that some people like to run 30 minutes and then analyze 2 hours on their computer - I don't care, so maybe I'm biased, I'd rather run 2 hours and look at the results on the computer for 30 seconds. 9) This watch accurately records altitude and provides ascent and descent data with results as well as top speed, average pace, etc. Everything I want to know about running. 10) Unlike Garmin, this watch doesn't interrupt you with uninteresting information during your run. Garmin warnings annoy me as much as ads (it's not ads). To be fair to Garmin, you could spend hours figuring out how to suppress these warnings. I have nothing bad to say about this particular watch, it runs perfectly and accurately. If I hadn't fought Garmin for so long I might have found something to complain about, but Garmin has set the bar very low.
