Fiction; Read the review. I will explain why people give 1 star.

This radar/laser detector works 100% exactly as it should. Very accurate and works over long distances. The reason some gave it 1 star is because the cop was not found. The reason for this is that not all police officers have their own radar. The police are well trained to look at the car and determine the average speed. If the officer doesn't have their own radar, they WILL NOT DETECT you. No radar detector can detect one that is not switched on. Therefore, he will not beep and say that a cop is ahead. Coming from a family of city cops and state cops, I have tested the gear on a variety of speed detection devices and lanes. The device found everyone before the police car's detector scanned me, which gave me time to slow down. The rear scanner on a device works just as well IF it has a clear rear view. The laser detectors sometimes used by police MUST be parked and not moving to match your speed. This is because the laser beam is very small and narrow and needs to hit the car directly in order for it to register speed, making it 80% more accurate. This detector should be mounted exactly in the center of the underside of the windshield for optimal use. The reason for the center placement is that most speed trap lasers are underground for better accuracy, which means the laser is aimed at the hood/front bumper of your vehicle. When the device is centered on the bottom, it has a 90% higher chance of alerting you earlier. The radars used by the police are large scatterers of radio waves, making them easier for a radar detector to detect. The most amazing thing about this detector is that it has an excellent system that allows you to tell if it's a cop or just a nearby door. So far I've never had a false reading around town unless I set the sensitivity to high. Finally, those who say they get wrong readings on the highway. It is not yours. First, there are hidden speed cameras. 2. Cars and Simitrucks can call him. Why? Well, that's because most new cars and almost all Simitrucks have radar systems that help them detect nearby cars to warn you when you shouldn't merge or when you're swerving. These radar systems in trucks and cars typically use a K-band signal at 24.75 Hz. Passing through a level crossing can almost always result in tripping. Railroads have radars that detect cars and send information to the conductor so he knows to honk and put his hands on the tracks. The signal differs from state to state, but in South Carolina about 98% of railroads use X-Band.
