Speaking of the damn workaholic! These sponges last way longer than any other sponge I've ever used (I'm looking at you RIGHT Dad). The blue, soft side wears out as expected. , but still hangs longer than most, but the durable black side could probably strip the paint off a fire hydrant! Okay, maybe not, but look at the pictures. The sponge shown in the photos has been used multiple times a day for 3 months! The blue side is a little dented but this is PERFECT because the black side has a lot more left in the tank. Here's a trick I learned from Oprah. If your sponge starts to smell moldy or just needs a deep cleaning, wet it completely, wring it out, and microwave it for 30 seconds. That should kill every living thing in that sponge, and it's working. The sponge will cook when you take it out of the microwave, so be careful with your fingers! I'm giving away these sponges as Christmas gifts! UPDATE: Just for fun, I'm adding a picture of the same sponge a month later. The blue, soft side keeps chewing (as you'd expect), but the hard, black side still gets insanely strong!
