This little thing is impressive for the money paid. I am a hobbyist and have a 10 gallon aquarium with 3 neon tetras. I've been noticing a film of oil on the water surface for a few months, nothing serious, and finally decided to purchase an air stone/pump. Being on a budget I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I still wanted something of value. This combination of air pump and stone is really impressive. I've followed the instructions for T and so far everything is working great. It releases a lot of bubbles because it is a small air pump. I'm considering buying another air stone to maybe disperse the bubbles as it creates an extra flow for the tetras to adapt to. It's not loud, but it's not quiet either. There is a noticeable hum/buzz, but I have it in my office and don't mind "white noise" in the background. If you are picky or sensitive to noise, this air pump is not for you.
