Too loud! for fish and aquatic animals

The device is very noisy. Loudest air pump I've ever bought. I also uploaded a video. The sound level in decibels corresponds to the range of my stove when it is switched on! Hard pass!

Pros
  • beautiful packaging
Cons
  • crumpled

Perfect fit for my 3 gallon aquarium

Exceeds all my expectations. The fish love it and no longer have to swim to the surface to get drunk. @Petco said goldfish are still water fish and can't handle the current. Not correct! They immediately swam through the bubbles and continued swimming through the aquarium. Hope it lasts and lasts. Will be updated if I have a reason to change my rating.

Good product ! Best in Fish and Aquatic Animals Category

Update: You have great customer service! I got a new one and it's not as noisy anymore and works great! He's SOOOO loud! That's the loudest thing I've ever heard. I even tried wrapping it in a towel to reduce the noise and I can still hear it! Don't get me wrong, the ones sold in Pet Smart are better, at least I can wrap them in a towel and they will be silent.

I would buy their air pumps again

I have a pretty decent fish room and kennel. After seeing this product for sale I decided to try it for a small quarantine tank. In the spirit of saving energy and wanting to renovate, I decided to take a look at this 1 watt pump. I'm very impressed. The packaging and instructions are clear and in fairness next day delivery and as you can see from the photos it definitely delivers. Works great for whatever I'm going to use it for. I definitely recommend it

Need help assembling

It's loud by itself and the bubble flow is angry. This scared my Betta who wouldn't swim next to her and it ruined her feeding. I recommended placing it in a small box over a thick cloth to deaden its noise and pinching the air line to contain bubbles. It takes a bit of fine tuning to properly attach and tighten to the Raid rubber straps to secure the pump to the tank so it doesn't vibrate from your body. Sounds stressful, but it's working great now, and Chino loves to take a bubble bath every…

Very loud buzz

EDIT: looks like I have a faulty unit. Customer service contacted me and sent me a new one free of charge. This works well and has been consistently quiet so far! Customer service is great when you received a broken air pump. It's so cute and small and it's great when it works well, but most of the time it doesn't. It makes an incredibly loud and uncomfortable rattling noise 80% of the time. I woke up in the middle of the night when the noise suddenly went from normal air pump noises to an…

A good air pump for the fish lover on a budget!

This little thing is impressive for the money paid. I am a hobbyist and have a 10 gallon aquarium with 3 neon tetras. I've been noticing a film of oil on the water surface for a few months, nothing serious, and finally decided to purchase an air stone/pump. Being on a budget I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I still wanted something of value. This combination of air pump and stone is really impressive. I've followed the instructions for T and so far everything is working great. It…

I hate this bubbler: Air Pumps

I hate this bubbler, consider it garbage and don't get paid for it. It's advertised as quiet, but it's very much like a vibrating hum and it's annoying to hear continuously in my home lab right now. I bought it to aerate my Artemia tank and right after installation I had to stretch and try to straighten a twisted plastic tube that didn't fit properly in the Artemia tank, it just kept curling up and shooting bubbles. Surface and create spirulina foam spreading green bubbles in my station. I hate
