not really much for perfectly flat records or overly warped records - no difference in sound

good - no difference in sound - I use this with my AT LP120XUSB - it doesn't add wow or flutter. It mainly works on entries that are slightly deformed - like concave or convex. If it is a serious malformation, nothing will help. I recently replaced the felt mat that came with my audio gear with an acrylic mat - one of my 80's records was a bit warped - when I used my carbon fiber brush it slipped a bit on the acrylic mat so I bought this weight/stabilizer/ record clip and he was holding it in his hand. If anyone is wondering if this will affect the motor in the long run due to the extra weight - I'd say maybe - but Audio Technica sells its own record weight/clamp/stabilizer - and it weighs over a pound - this one is just over half a pound - 0.61 with change. and the AT website says their record weight can be used on the LP120 so I figured if that weighed less than the AT it shouldn't be a problem. the weight looks pretty good - i have gold - no complaints about the looks. It has frequency dots on it - meaning it can tell you if it's spinning correctly at 33 or 45 rpm, but I don't really know how to use it. and my AT LP120XUSB already has RPM points, so I don't really use that feature. I don't really need it other than to keep the record. It also makes me look like a SERIOUS LP FANATIC. Anyway it's a pretty good price and holds my distorted record but no sonic difference. Thank you for reading.
