Review on MotoFab Lifts F150-3F-2R - 3 Inch Front and 2 Inch Rear Leveling Lift Kit for 2004-2014 Ford F150 by Mark Harris

Seems to be of good quality

I couldn't install it myself after a very long and painful day. I blame this on being too lazy to rent a ball joint separator. Tried knocking out the tie rod linkage but it didn't work. I got so fed up with the project that I paid $500 to have it installed. I'm sure I could do it, but I'm just tired of dealing with it. Now that it's on, it looks great. It's not really flashy, but seems to be of good quality. Not sure how much "damage" it will cause overtime. The upper wishbones definitely feel unnatural at such a low angle. But with proper trueing and a long-term maintenance schedule, I don't see why this could make such a big difference. Because of the geometry, the lift itself doesn't do much. But hey, that doesn't mean the F150 is an off-road machine. This lift allows you to use big wheels and in turn gives you a slight height advantage, if you have to climb over that one log to get to camp then I'm happy. I'm not trying to freak out about it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Vulgarity
