I make cheese and other products all the time, so I need a good, fast reader. The 4 little buttons are labeled, but (if you need reading glasses, and most of us by the age of 45 need them), you'll need them to see which button is which. Even with the included readers, it's difficult to read the control buttons. Also, it takes a long time to reach the temperature of the actual item you are testing. Definitely not a quick read. Pros: Seems very accurate and I like the extended probe, especially for deep pots. Easy to use. Has its own case. Inexpensive. Cons: Takes a long time to get readings, fine print on controls, and no clip to attach to pots.
