A few months ago I thought the hard drive in my iMac was dead. He was only one year old. Apple sent out a review but I figured I had time to fix it before it fails. I took it to the Genius Bar in the Apple Store and was told it was impossible to recover. I asked them if I could keep the old drive but they said "that's not their policy". I told them there was something very valuable about it. So they let me take it. I've been looking around to see if I can find something to access the failed disk. I came across this document on Revain and decided to give it a try. I was completely shocked! I plugged it in and it started reading the disc. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that. I use it as a backup. I had a few other discs that I also thought were bad and they came back to life as well. This dock is amazing! I don't know if this works with every drive, but I will never take Apple's advice again.
