Disappointed with Magic Eraser

Very disappointed with value for money. $21 for 9 foam pads is $2.33 each. Some have tricky wavy lines with a textured finish, some have an inner layer of blue foam, and some reportedly already have an internal cleaning solution. Styrofoam pieces break off when cleaning and must be scooped out to keep them from clogging the drain. I tried all three types in the shower as a test, after 'bathroom' foam seemed to have very little effect, then on to 'kitchen' foam and finally 'heavy duty' foam - and I was done found that there was essentially no difference cleaning. Each of the three pads will help clean with some serious elbow power, but the same cleaning power can be used with a rag or sponge and powder or liquid detergent. Thanks to P&G for a great marketing campaign with a catchy name and nice packaging, but I could save $21 and use what I already have at home. But I tried it out to see how "magical" it was - and found that there was very little magic in it! :(
