For the past 4 years I have installed typical LED string lights under the artillery pieces on my boat for use in the early morning hours during tournaments. Eventually they started falling apart due to the elements so I looked for a replacement and they fit the bill very well. Since they are encased in silicone I think they will last longer. Thanks to the silicone sleeve, they are easy to stick on double-sided 3M tape. They are very bright and I like the even light from each LED. I connected them directly to the mute switch on my panel, which has a fuse from the factory. Works great when connected directly to 12V.
