Pre-filter is rubbish
The pre-filter will not fit or shrink (protrudes 1mm) like the original filter and will cause the vacuum to 'switch' between higher and lower suction modes. if you use. I've reinstalled it multiple times with no improvement. I installed the original filter and the vacuum cleaner works like clockwork again. I have two Dyson V8s and both have the same behavior.
