I agree w/the low ratings. Don't understand why there are so many positive ratings. Do I have a bad unit? Do I not know how to use it properly? My unit is inconsistent coming at a known wire repeatedly from either the same, or different directions. I've a whole hallway whose both side walls are "hot" just about everywhere, and inconsistently so. Perhaps my unit is too sensitive. I just want one that will help me map a wire down the wall within one inch of either side.
