Review on Bernie Mev Women's Victoria Athletic Walking Shoes by Carlos Alston

I bought a pair of these shoes in late March/early April 2017. 8.5 in athletic shoes. I have a moderately high arch and a narrow foot, especially the heel. Based on other reviews I expected these shoes to go WIDE and they are! But with this style, you can tighten the elastic drawstring to make it snug. I had to tighten the cord to literally not get out of them - see photo. They are soft like slippers but with a slightly softer sole. The weave of the shoe's "fabric" is stretchy and pliable, so the fit is comfortable and non-chafing. I often put other insoles in my shoes to improve my arch support. I haven't done this with them as they are comfortable enough without extra support and I don't wear them for long walks. Size 39 fits perfectly. Online photos accurately reflect colors. I paid full price and didn't get a refund.
