These mugs work well. I don't have a lid, of course, but my tea ranges from very small sips of 200F tea to a couple of warm, regular sips in 15 minutes in my 65F house. Not impressed, not impressed by mugs. The advantage is that they can be washed in the dishwasher. Due to the wider base, it is a bit more stable than my other mugs. The cups are light and too light in hand. For the price they are good enough if you don't need or don't use a well insulated mug. in a cold environment. As for the metal cups, I'd recommend you check out others, but be prepared to return to these. If you want a serious mug I don't recommend it.
