I was skeptical when I bought it. I recently finished my backyard patio and wanted something that would help keep the bugs out at night. I remember insect traps from my childhood, and I also had a friend who recommended this to me. The first day we plugged it in and left it on all night. We could hear a strange electrical noise coming from my bedroom. We turned off the insect repellent and it stopped. This thing destroyed sooo many bugs! In the morning we opened the floor and it was almost full of all sorts of flying bugs, not just mosquitoes! My only complaint is that the big bugs are shocked rather than killed. So when I open them in the morning they are still moving. I think if I just throw it away some of them might survive and get up and live again lol. When I empty it, I spray bug spray on those that are still moving. All in all, it helped keep flying pesky bugs at bay while we were out.
