This is an amazing product that can do wonders for your burnt pans. However, you may need to be more aggressive than the guide says. We had two All Clad pans that were badly burned and changing color from light to dark brown. Burnt out and I was contemplating throwing them out and getting new ones until I heard about this product (mentioned on the All Clad website under 'Care of Pots/Frying Pans'). I spent 30+ minutes cleaning with a soft cloth/sponge and made such slow progress that I finally switched to a cleaning pad (not steel wool but one of those dark green/yellow pads and used the hard green side). ) and after about 5-7 rounds I deleted it. It was a lot of hard work (especially with those heavy all-clad pots/pans). I didn't use the 'paste' that the guide recommends for removing stubborn stains, I simply applied the powder liberally to the stained area and then scrubbed vigorously with a sponge and slowly but surely it began to come loose. The spots I thought would never go away are finally gone. All of that. It took me over an hour to make two pans, but if I made it again it would take half the time or less. I didn't wear gloves and paid out the next day as my skin was very dry for about 2 days. Not painful and not moist, but very uncomfortably dry. Be sure to use rubber gloves for intensive use. Great product although the pans are literally back to pre-fired condition. There is not a single place that cannot be completely cleaned.
