Native lenses, of course, are faster in AF when it comes to photos. If you need high-quality 35 for shooting video - this Sigma is your choice. Got pros: + High-quality picture without aberrations. + Quite a large field of sharpness even with an open aperture. + Ergonomic design, not as bulky compared to standard lenses. + No aberrations or vignette at high apertures (16 etc.) + Resolution allows you to shoot 4K RAW on BMPC without losing detail. + Metal. Compared to other Sigma lenses, it is quite reliable (it fell several times and at least henna!). For the time being, for the time being. With its cons. - Metal: in the cold you have to work with gloves - For the video, the focus wheel is a bit fast, I had to wear a follow focus. - At the time of writing the review, it jumped in price to an unacceptable cost (I bought it in the summer for 30k). - The standard wardrobe trunk is intended, perhaps, for transportation in a titanium container (flimsy, IMHO), in comparison with the 70-200 case from Canon.
